
Shorter time to market for new wallpapers
Challenge
The wallpaper industry is in a period of change with new printing technologies, new niche actors and new digitally driven business models. Boråstapeter is the dominant brand in Sweden and they wanted to become faster, more agile and more efficient in development of new collections. One focus area was to analyze the impact of emerging digital printing technologies for wallpapers.
Result
Goovinn helped Boråstapeter to review the development process to be more agile and to shorten time to market. Support in implementation was a natural part of the assignment. We also recommended how digital printing can best be used for wallpaper manufacturing. We did this based on an extensive study of printing technologies and machine suppliers, and alternative business models.
